Thomas "hoverth" Dickson

Thomas "hoverth" DicksonĀ is a 3rd-year Software Engineering student at the University of Auckland, where he also works as a technician in their makerspace. He is interested in anything and everything open-source, and regularly contributes to open-source software. His upcoming 4th year engineering research project is on using gamification with wearable technology to help people take care of themselves, which is planning on using the new Pebble smartwatches. His more specialised interests in open source hardware are robotics (including soft robotics), consumer electronics, sustainable & green technology, computing hardware, homemade pens, power storage & generation, and amateur radio.
