Devin is a first year Ph.D student at University of Washington ECE. Previously, he completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees at MIT EECS. His research investigates how to create scalable, sustainable systems for sensing the human body and its interactions with the world. Drawn to systems that do more with less, his interests are in fabrication techniques for low profile wearables, wireless sensing, and physical artificial intelligence. Devin is working to democratize access to tactile sensing technologies by open-sourcing his research, including the WiReSens Toolkit, a software-hardware platform for resistive tactile sensing, and the OpenTouch Gloves, a flexible printed circuit board–based tactile sensing glove.
