Community

The open source hardware community is global, we have certifications from all over the world with incredible projects from microcontrollers, to e-textiles, and even planting benches. We welcome a vast definition of hardware and recognize anything made of atoms rather than bits which has led to a vast community of creators. OSHWA works to engage open source creators from around the world with programs, events and the Open Hardware Summit.

At OSHWA we work hard to connect with our community in a variety of ways. We run a Discord and we are present on Mastodon, BlueSky, LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter.

Discord

We utilize our Discord for general exchange of knowledge, community resources sharing, and especially during Summit season to get info out to our attendees ASAP. We have a hybrid method for our Summit that allows for folks who cannot be there in person to still participate and socialize through the Discord.

Forums + Mailing List Archives

The OSHWA Forums ran for 11 years and were retired due to lack of use. You can find an archive of the forums at community-archive.oshwa.org
