Announcing the Open Healthware Education Guide

Herine Rodriguez

During our first year of the NSF pose grant, OSHWA hosted sessions with Open Healthware community members from around the world. Throughout each session, we heard consistent feedback around the need for education around Open Source Healthware. We gathered input on the type of educational tools our community members wanted made, compiled it, and began working on an Open Healthware Educational Guide.

After countless working sessions, community revisions, and edits, we are happy to finally announce the first version of our completed Open Healthware Educational Guide! We hope that this helps those interested and who are beginning to dip their toes in Open Healthware to understand the basics while also being able to be used by those already integrated in the community to explain what they do and it's importance.

We hope this guide can help spread the word around Open Healthware in a way accessible to novices while being a tool for experts wanting to share their work with those outside of their direct community. If it can also help you finally explain what you do for work when a stranger or your mom asks for the 10th time then that's a bonus!
